IES Vancouver is pleased to offer IES FOL course in Fall2024. You will be required to purchase the IES Fundamentals of Lighting Student Edition course material from the IES website. Please visit www.ies.org and purchase a digital copy before first day of class. Hard copies are no longer available for purchase
Follow the instructions on the IES website to download and open the files. Supplemental files may be provided in Google Classroom at the discretion of the instructor.. In order to access all the quizzes, final exam, and supplementary files, you will need a Google account.
You will have quizzes throughout the course and a final exam available after the final day. Quizzes are typically due 1 week after each session. Failure to complete the quizzes and final exam by deadline will result in an automatic course incompletion. 80% attendance is required to pass the course; active webcam is required to maintain attendance. Please note that 7 of the sessions are instructed and 4 are self study.
Course Cost:
IES Members $350 (includes sustaining member staff)
Non IES Members $380
(Price does not include IES FOL Student Course material. Additional learning handouts may be available, at the discretion of the instructor, but NOT the full IES FOL course material)
You will be sent more information 3 days before the start of the course.
To be fair to everyone in the lighting industry, we reserve the right to limit the maximum number of students from any single company within any single class.

- Cancellations must be received 1 full week prior to start of course or full payment is required.
- Course may be cancelled if insufficient students are registered. A notice will be provided 1 day prior to first day of class and course payment will be refunded
